iPhone Horror Story.....

Executive Summary : If you want a buggy, unreliable, unadequate, crash happy and unfinised device then buy an Apple iPhone if you want a more developed device then buy a Windows Mobile device......curse you Apple....curse you to hell!!!
Right....this will be a long thread but a worthwile one...I feel that when I had the iPhone 2G all was better than this new iPHone 3G shit, honstely how can someone be expected to use a phone that has more flaws than Windows Mobile v6.1, I would say that Apple are taking a step backwards these days as you now get:
1. Firmware that is not fully tested
2. Applications that crash
3. Applications do not install correctly
4. Springboard Corruption
5. Slow Application installs (like 40 minutes) for 1MB applications
I have had three yes, three repalcement replacement iPhone that have developed the App Store fault whereby you start installing an Application from the App Store and the iPhone reboots itselfs and fks up the Springboard.....congratulations you now have a iBricked iPhone through no fault of you own.....OK I have 56 Applications installed but so fking what, I had like 80 on my Windows Mobile device and that did not "throw al lthe toys out the pram" on startup.....it like load only the files it was told to load!!!!!
If you get the the Apple Logo displayed on startup for more than 3 minutes then you have a crashed "Springboard" and you need to visit an Apple store for them to give you another refurbished bag of shit, then it can happen again to you!
So, I booked in at the Genius Bar in Solihull Touchwood.....and Apple are stumped they have so far blamed my home Operating System and Home Backup for the issue....so what am I meant to buy and damn Apple Mac Book Pro to sync my iPhone??? I think not!
I would like to point out that when I had my Windows Mobile I was always hacking and tinkering with it....however this cannot be the case on the iPhone as you cannot tinker with the iPhone the same as you can with Windows Mobile which is bad when you are trying to perform diagnostic analysis!
So you might wonder what I have been asked to do so far? Well here is the list:
1. Setup your iPhone as a new iPhone
2. Restore this new iPhone with the backup on your PC
3. Manually put all the applications back on the iPhone (that takes ages)
4. Deleted the cached firmware and downloaded 2.0.2 again from Apple Servers
5. Deleted the backup for my iPhone from the computer and start again
6. Removed iTunes and re-downloaded v7.7.1
7. Removed all the Apple and Apple Computer folders in Application Data/Local Data
Yup done all that to no prevail...so where do I go from here is the question, I really do not want to enter all my data again on this insufficient unstable device for it to fk itself up because I tried to use the device!
Today I will visit o2 in Solihull to see if they can give me a handset , other than the iPhone, that I can rely on as quite frankly I have lost all confidence in Apple products....back to Windows Mobile where you can perform hoe diagnostics and find the faulty (not just swap out a shit phone for another shit phone)
Upon my vist to o2 I was messed around by the store and customer services in a sense that no one seems to be able to help me effectively resolving my conmplaint....so the o2 customer care number on 0870-2410202 insist that the store need to deal with this and the o2 store in Solihull state that only o2 customer care can resolve this issue....the logic behind this is that:
1. The phone is more than 28 days old
2. The IMEI number will not match up to the o2 copy
3. They cannot exchange the iPhone as this has been completed more than 2 times
4. They do not have authoriy to change the handset
I now have the mail address for o2 customer relations....so I feel a letter is in order, which will outline my fustration....shown below:

I am currently on your iPhone 30 contract with the Apple iPhone 3G and have been using this contact for four (4) months now and have come across numerous problems within the last couple of months, firstly the phone you have provided me runs an Apple OS which is very unstable and buggy and has caused me to loose all my data on more than one occasion which is unacceptable as most of this data is quite personal!
I have phoned o2 on many occasions and have been bounded between o2 customer services and my local o2 store which is Solihull...this is not solving my problem of having an unstable and a phone that is not fit for purpose, I feel that you are not providing me with a contract as the mobile I am forced to use is not working as sold to me in the store.
I am currently on my fourth (4) Apple iPhone as the other three Apple iPhones phones showed symptoms exactly like this one the issues are as follows:
1. General phone instability
2. Unable to install applications
3. Unable to backup the iPhone using iTunes
4. iPhone locking on bootup
5. iPhone corrupting backups
6. Excessive installation times for applications
To remedy this situation I have taken this phone to the Apple Genuis Bar (on all occasions) and have tried all options given to me including:
Finally I am very annoyed that I have lost
all* data backup's as it has not been possible to backup my iPhone as iTunes timesout the backups (which means I have no way of retreving SMS, Application Data, Photos, Call History)
I am fully aware that many of these issue are not the network but more the phone at fault and I would like to request that I have the option to change my handset to a more reliable handset, I would like to purchase the HTC Touch Pro which is avalible on certain sites like Expansys.
If an handset change is not possible I would like to cancel my contact on the terms that you are not providing we with a reliable and stable handset and service and I would like a PUK code so I move to a network that can accommodate my requirement

Hopefully I will get a more positive response from o2 Customer Relations....but I am not holding my breath...
