If you want to check out of diagnose WMI issues - which stands for Windows Managment Instrumentation then you can use the WMI Testing tool which comes included with Windows.
If you want to start this excellent tool then click on Start choose Run then type in "wbemtest"
This is a powerful tool that can screw up WMI which is bad, therefore only click on the pretty buttons if you know what you are doing, this applications is ONLY for 3rd line support teams and above......and you need to know WMI...
