If you have an iPhone on o2-UK and have the firmware 1.1.4 soon after you activate your iPhone it prompts you to restore your setttings to the iPhone....when you complete this step the Mail application fails to load.....if you get this issue that when you tap on the Mail application you return to the Home Screen then follow these instructions....
1. Restore your iPhone with iTunes
2. Activated it, but do not retsore your settings!
3. Disconnect your iPhone from iTunes.
4. Tap Mail - you should now get the selection screen (Yahoo, AIM, whatever ...)
5. Close Mail.
6. Connect iPhone to your Mac.
7. Now restore your settings, synch and you should be done.
