inTune : Enrolling MacOS device - something went wrong

Recently I tried to enroll a MacOS device, more specifically a Macbook Pro, the device is in DEP which means DEP will point it to inTune which is the MDM this example.

Right, so you have your MacOS device, you turn it on where you get the welcome screen like this:

You then get some options about region, then WiFi network then the accessibility menu, and from here you get this screen.....

Well that's a killjoy, you have a new mac and the fact you cannot enrol it means you have a expensive paperweight, fear not people you can fix this issue, first navigate yourself to https://endpoint.microsoft.com as a Intune Administrator, once here navigate to Devices......

Then you need to choose Enrol devices as below:

Then you need to choose Apple Enrollment as below:

Then you need Enrollment program tokens......

You will then see the Token name for all the "apple" enrollments.....

Click on this token name then choose Devices....

Then you will see all the devices that are synced with ABM or Apple Business Manager, locate you device by the serial number........

Click the tick box next the serial number and choose the option for assign profile, then choose the relevant provisioning profile for that device.

Once you have assigned the relevant profile, you Mac will now be usable and no longer a paperweight.

NOTE : once the enrolment profile has been assigned, you will need to wait 20 to 30 minutes for it to get to the laptop, assigning a profile, and trying immediately will fail

This concludes this guide and you issue, if you still have an issue, suggest a blog post here
